Job summary

KBR Careers invites a Senior Drainage Engineer to join our Sydney civil team. You will lead drainage, hydrology and hydraulic design across major infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists to deliver excellence from planning to detailed design.

You will mentor engineers, review deliverables, and help drive client relationships and bids. Chartered status or eligibility is required, with strong safety and quality commitments.

Qualifications

  • Established experience in civil, drainage or water infrastructure engineering within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pipelines or water infrastructure design.
  • Experience delivering transport and infrastructure projects, particularly roads and rail.
  • Strong technical design and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As our project pipeline continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join our Sydney team and play a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Australia. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on transport and infrastructure programs including roads, rail and water projects, while contributing your expertise in drainage, hydrology and hydraulic design.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and design expertise across the full project lifecycle, from planning and concept development through to detailed design and delivery. Working within our Civil team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists and support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Established experience in civil, drainage or water infrastructure engineering within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pipelines or water infrastructure design.
  • Experience delivering transport and infrastructure projects, particularly roads and rail.
  • Strong technical design and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or the ability to obtain accreditation.
