Job summary

The Senior Policy Officer provides legal policy, legislative reform and strategy advice in relation to Victoria's disability legislative settings and related policy matters, coordinating research, development, implementation, review and reform across the disability portfolio.

The role supports engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including other Victorian Government departments, agencies and statutory bodies, and contributes to policy development to progress department priorities.

Qualifications

• Policy analysis and advisory capabilities.
• Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and prepare policy materials.
• Experience with research and evidence-based advice.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, review and implementation of policy and legislative projects.
• Provide authoritative policy guidance on disability policy and regulatory issues.
• Prepare briefing materials and parliamentary submissions for executives and ministers.
