Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions in Melbourne seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer focused on Azure to join the Cloud & Platform team. You will design, build, and manage scalable Azure IaaS and PaaS infrastructures in an enterprise-scale environment across the ANZ region.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, implement Terraform from scratch, and mentor engineers while promoting DevOps best practices and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Azure focused Cloud & Platform Engineering.
• Experience in designing and building out Azure environments.
• Background in Azure Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering preferred.
• Proven experience developing Terraform from scratch.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions & Azure DevOps.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining Azure Networking - Private Networking, VNet, NSG, Firewalls, Load balancers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deliver scalable cloud and infrastructure solutions predominantly across Azure IaaS & PaaS.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimise critical infrastructure and platform services, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design and implement infrastructure, platform, and tooling capabilities aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, performance, security, and scalability.
• Champion DevOps principles, encouraging collaboration, automation, and best-practice engineering across technology teams.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers, promoting best practices and capability development.
