Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our GBIS team in Melbourne. You will blend hands-on development with technical leadership to design, build and support critical enterprise applications and integrations across Australia.

You'll mentor developers, shape architecture and deliver secure, scalable solutions using Boomi, ServiceNow, SAP, EC Payroll and other platforms, while collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and business value.

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our GBIS team. Reporting to the Application Manager, this role will play a key part in designing, developing and supporting critical enterprise applications and integration platforms that underpin business operations across Australia.

This is an opportunity to combine hands‑on development with technical leadership, helping shape architecture, mentor developers and deliver innovative solutions across platforms including Boomi, SAP, ServiceNow, SuccessFactors, EC Payroll and internally developed applications.

About the Role

What you'll do

As a Senior Developer, you will lead the development, enhancement, support and integration of enterprise applications across our technology landscape. You will provide technical leadership, mentor developers, contribute to solution architecture, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and high-quality technology solutions. This role combines hands‑on development with strategic input and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide technical leadership and thought leadership across solution design, architecture and application development.
• Lead the development, enhancement and support of enterprise applications and integrations, including Boomi, ServiceNow, SAP, SuccessFactors, EC Payroll and internally developed systems.
• Conduct code reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex technical issues, risks and solution challenges.
• Design, develop and maintain integrations, APIs and application interfaces across the enterprise technology landscape.
• Support application performance, optimisation, upgrades, patches and ongoing platform maintenance.
• Lead analysis, design, testing, deployment and release management activities in accordance with IT governance and delivery frameworks.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, documenting requirements, specifications and process improvements where required.
• Manage application enhancements and change requests with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Mentor and support team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and best practice development.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, system capabilities and technology outcomes.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively across projects, business teams and technology functions.
• Champion assigned applications, driving adoption, continuous improvement and long‑term business value.
• Deliver high‑quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets while working effectively in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years' experience in software development within enterprise environments.
• Proven experience developing and supporting enterprise platforms such as Boomi, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Power Platform .
• Strong coding and scripting capabilities, with experience in relevant technologies including JavaScript, .NET, ABAP, JSON and platform‑specific development tools.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting integrations using Boomi , SAP CPI , APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware and data exchange formats such as XML and JSON.
• Knowledge of ESB and AWS technologies is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using version control tools (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, data models and business processes.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant platform certifications, such as: Boomi Platform Developer I or II Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate SAP Certified Development Associate ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or System Administrator
• Experience with: Development languages such as JavaScript, .NET, ABAP and related technologies Web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript API development and integration (REST and SOAP) Modern software delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Lean or Waterfall
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skillswith experience resolving complex technical challenges.
