Job summary

Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) in Australia seeks a senior Design Manager to lead design coordination across major projects. You will mentor project teams, coordinate with clients, and develop scopes for consultants based on the project brief and contract requirements.

The role emphasizes developing and managing the Design Program, implementing Safety in Design, and maintaining liaison with Statutory Authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years post-graduation as an architect or engineer.
• Minimum 5 years with a building contractor in Design Manager/Project Engineer/Project Manager role.
• Alternative: 5+ years in construction with exposure to design management.
• Significant site exposure.
• Experience across commercial, education, health, correctional and residential projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant building and tertiary qualifications.
• To have worked as an architect or engineer for a minimum of 3 years (post-graduation) followed by a minimum of 5 years with a building contractor in a Design Manager, Project Engineer or Project Manager role; or alternatively has worked in the construction industry for a minimum 5+ years with exposure to design management.
• Significant site exposure.
• Experience across a range of project types (commercial, education, health, correctional and residential) and project values; and
• Significant experience on projects in excess of $60m.
