Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in law and current practising certificate.
• Experience leading legal teams with people management in a complex organisation.
• Advocacy, regulatory prosecutions or criminal law experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide sophisticated, authoritative, solutions-based independent counsel across the full spectrum of issues faced by DJCS and its portfolios.
• Play a key leadership role within the Office of the General Counsel and ensure efficient and effective performance.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting DJCS interests and ministerial portfolios.
