Zip Co Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Customer Data Science team, taking ideas from experimentation to production and using ML/AI to improve how we work and the experiences we create for our customers.

You will lead ML and agentic AI solutions, turn complex problems into practical insights, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and business teams to bring AI innovation to life. You will contribute to a fast-paced environment that values curiosity and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Data Science delivering ML/AI solutions.
• Advanced Python and SQL proficiency with ML deployment experience.
• Experience building production ML models and LLMs.

As a Senior Data Scientist in our Customer Data Science team, you'll take ideas from experimentation to production, using machine learning and emerging AI technologies to improve how we work and the experiences we create for our customers.

• 5+ years' experience in Data Science, with a track record of delivering impactful machine learning and AI solutions.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills, with strong knowledge of statistical modelling, experimentation and modern data platforms.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying production ready ML models and agentic AI solutions, including LLMs.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex insights into clear recommendations.
• A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
