Reo Group, a growing FMCG company in Parramatta, Australia, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to uplift its data science capability. You will lead end-to-end ML initiatives from discovery through deployment and ensure scalable models deliver measurable impact.

You will design scalable data pipelines, work with stakeholders to identify opportunities, and mentor junior data scientists while advancing MLOps practices and modern ML tooling in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Python/SQL proficiency across data analysis, feature engineering and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Spark/Azure Databricks for large-scale data processing.
• Practical knowledge of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist reporting to the Head of Data Science, you will uplift the organisation's data science capability by embedding within the business, building strong relationships, and translating complex challenges into practical, data-driven solutions. You'll lead end-to-end machine learning initiatives, from discovery to deployment, and ensure the adoption of scalable models that drive meaningful impact across the organisation.

You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to ensure reliable access for analytics and ML use cases. You will proactively engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities, define problems, and ensure solutions are implemented and adopted effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science and machine learning initiatives from ideation through to deployment and monitoring
• Mentor junior and mid-level data scientists, promoting best practices in modelling, ML engineering, and business alignment
• Design and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support scalable analytics and ML workflows
• Apply techniques such as A/B testing, causal inference, and optimisation to drive data-informed decisions

Comfortable exploring complex data sets and communicating insights in business terms, you bring strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Azure Databricks, and Azure cloud services, along with working knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and modern ML toolsets. You're also a strong advocate for MLOps, building scalable, maintainable ML solutions that last.
