Job summary

Lendi Group is seeking a Data Scientist to drive ML initiatives across Australia. You will handle large datasets, build predictive models, and contribute to the full product life cycle. The role emphasizes scalable ML solutions and adopting the latest AI techniques in a collaborative environment.

You will partner with product managers and data teams to deliver impactful insights while maintaining coding standards and documentation. Hybrid work is offered to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience as a Data Scientist or related role (e.g., ML Engineer).
• Expertise in ML algorithms and strong mathematical fundamentals.
• Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in cloud environments (e.g., Databricks).
• Proficient in Python, R or Scala for data analysis and modeling.
• Exposure to data visualization tools (PowerBI, Streamlit) and DevOps practices (Git, dbt).

Responsibilities

• Work with large datasets and feature store to gain insights, train predictive models and measure results.
• Be involved in the full product life cycle.
• Develop scalable and innovative ML solutions
• Learn and implement latest AI and ML techniques.
• Develop relationships with product managers and other stakeholders to influence business outcomes
• Collaborate with the data team, reviewing solutions, sharing knowledge, and improving coding standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gain a complete understanding of the problem to be solved and to implement the models to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and budget.
• Ensure documentation of the proposed solutions.
• Actively participate in improving ML Ops practices and standards

Qualifications

• Commercial experience as a Data Scientist or related working experience, e.g., Machine Learning Engineer
• Expertise in machine learning algorithms and demonstrable expertise in mathematical fundamentals
• Experience in the full lifecycle of developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in the cloud, such as Databricks
• Demonstrated experience writing high-quality Python code, R or Scala.
• Exposure to data visualisation libraries and products (e.g., PowerBI, Streamlit) and working in a DevOps environment (e.g., Git,dbt)
