The role defines the product direction and roadmap, translates business priorities into executable delivery plans, and works hands‑on with engineering, data management, business stakeholders and managed service partners to deliver measurable outcomes. This person is accountable for maintaining a clear connection between business priorities, product decisions and delivery execution. They ensure data products are valuable, usable, trusted, secure and supportable throughout their lifecycle.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Lead data product strategy and roadmaps: Define and manage the vision, roadmap and lifecycle of enterprise data products. Balance immediate business demand with Latitude’s longer‑term data strategy and platform direction.
  • Own end to end delivery: Convert the enterprise data roadmap into an integrated and achievable always‑on delivery plan covering priorities, milestones, dependencies, capacity, risks, cross project co‑ordination and delivery commitments.
  • Drive hands on delivery execution: Maintain prioritised backlogs, shape initiatives into delivery‑ready requirements, define acceptance criteria and lead the appropriate planning, refinement, review and delivery ceremonies.
  • Partner with engineering leadership: Work closely with the Principal Engineer and staff engineer to sequence delivery, align engineering capacity, resolve impediments and make informed trade‑offs between scope, timing, quality and technical sustainability of data assets.
  • Manage delivery performance: Track progress against commitments, maintain visibility of risks and dependencies, escal…
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies: Align business units, domain leads, analytics teams, data engineering, data management, architecture, security and other technology teams required to deliver complete data assets and projects from value inception to consumption.
  • Lead adoption and operational readiness: Work closely with the engineering and analytics teams to ensure products are tested, accepted, documented and ready for production and adoption is managed.
  • Manage delivery partners: Set clear expectations for external partners operating under Latitude’s Managed Data Services model. Monitor delivery quality, performance and outcomes, and address risks or gaps proactively.
  • Mature our Data as a Service business service model: Partner with Lines of Business, engineering, architecture and data management to define and evolve a clear service‑led approach for identifying, prioritising and delivering trusted, reusable enterprise data assets. Clarify how consumers engage with Data Enablement, the services and responsibilities that apply, and the platform capabilities needed to improve self‑service and reduce time and cost to value.
  • Embed data management requirements: Ensure data quality, ownership, discoverability, lineage and governance expectations are incorporated into product design and delivery.
  • Manage security, privacy and risk: Ensure data products meet Latitude’s security, privacy, consent, regulatory and ethical obligations while identifying and mitigating relevant technology and operational risks.
  • Measure product value: Work closely with data management counter parts to define and monitor product measures covering adoption, usage, reliability, stakeholder outcomes and business impact. Use evidence and feedback to inform future priorities.
  • Strengthen product‑oriented ways of working: Advocate for shared ownership, standardisation and value‑driven delivery across Data Enablement and the broader organisation.
  • Cross department support: On the infrequent occasion extend to supporting product management and delivery expertise to the Martech activation team.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone with:
  • Five or more years of experience in data product management, product ownership or product delivery leadership within a complex data environment.
  • Demonstrated experience taking data products from discovery and prioritisation through engineering delivery, release, adoption and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Strong product‑management capability, including roadmap development, value prioritisation, stakeholder alignment, outcome definition and product measurement.
  • Strong delivery leadership capability, including backlog management, delivery planning, capacity coordination, dependency management, risk management and delivery forecasting.
  • Familiar with modern data platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, data pipelines, APIs and cloud‑based data services.
  • The ability to translate between business outcomes, data requirements and technical delivery considerations without performing the technical lead role.
  • Experience working with internal engineering teams, managed service providers and other external delivery partners.
  • A strong understanding of enterprise reporting and regulated data environments.
  • Experience with requirements such as Comprehensive Credit Reporting or AFCA reporting would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with analytics, business intelligence, operational data, AI and machine‑learning use cases and other similar data activation and consumption use cases.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge priorities, negotiate trade‑offs and create alignment across senior stakeholders.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in information systems, computer science or a related business discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Sometimes the best candidates don’t have 100% of what is listed above, but if you have most and are confident, you’d be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
