TEKsystems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to define and manage business and functional requirements for enterprise data products on an Azure-based data platform.

You will work with Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Modellers, and stakeholders to translate needs into structured requirements for ingestion, modelling, and delivery. The role emphasizes data quality, rules, metrics, and scope management, aligning with Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in data, analytics, or data platform programs.
• Experience defining requirements for enterprise data and analytics solutions.
• Experience with Azure-based data platforms and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineers and Data Modellers.

Aufgaben

• Analyse source systems and data structures to understand data availability and ingestion requirements.
• Conduct data profiling and exploratory analysis to assess completeness, usability, and transformation requirements.
• Identify high-level data lineage from source systems through to downstream data products.
• Define business metrics, measures, and reporting requirements.
• Document business rules and transformation requirements across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Develop functional requirements and transformation logic for curated datasets.
• Document metric definitions and business terminology for consistent interpretation.
