Cognizant is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to translate business requirements into scalable data models for enterprise data platforms, warehouses, and analytics. The role focuses on Erwin Data Modeler, Azure data technologies, PySpark, and SQL, with collaboration across stakeholders to deliver standardized, high-performing data structures.

The candidate will design across conceptual, logical, and physical layers, supporting governance, metadata, and documentation while partnering with data

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in data modelling or enterprise data-management roles.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on Erwin Data Modeler in complex environments.
• Proven delivery experience on Azure-based data platforms and analytics solutions.

Responsabilités

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational and analytic platforms.
• Use Erwin Data Modeler to create ER, dimensional, and domain models.
• Translate business requirements into clear data structures and rules.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement models on Azure services.
• Develop data dictionaries, metadata definitions, and governance artifacts.
• Validate models with SQL and PySpark and ensure data quality.
• Lead modelling workshops and design reviews with stakeholders.
• Promote enterprise data-modelling standards and documentation practices.
