relatbl is seeking a data governance specialist to support a program by analysing high-value datasets and applying governance and quality rules to AI-ready data. You will deliver practical quality improvements that reduce risk and enhance analytics capabilities for decision-making.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with data governance, and the ability to work flexibly in a hybrid arrangement across government, private and not-for-profit sectors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in data governance, data integrity and data quality assurance.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently or in a team.
• Experience with Centrelink/Medicare data or relevant legislative frameworks desirable.

• 12‑month APS6‑equivalent labour hire contract, with potential of up to 24 months of extensions
• QLD, ACT, VIC, SA, TAS | Hybrid working arrangements considered 6 weeks on-site
• Up to 50 hours per week
• Earn $70 – $90 per hour (exclusive of super)
• Australian citizenship and Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain) required

Duties

• Analyse high‑value datasets and apply data governance and quality rules to support AI‑ready data.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into practical data quality and governance solutions.
• Maintain and implement data quality rules within the platform and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate project documentation, reporting and testing activities to support delivery outcomes.
• Build effective stakeholder relationships across data stewards, SMEs and technical teams to resolve issues and progress work.

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in data governance, data integrity and data quality assurance is required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and apply evidence‑based judgement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively in a project environment.
• Experience with Centrelink/Medicare data, agency data landscapes or relevant legislative frameworks is highly desirable.
