Job summary

You will drive data platforms, governance and engineering standards to support critical weather and climate initiatives.

You will lead batch and real-time data pipelines, advise on emerging technologies, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure production-ready, compliant data products.

Responsibilities

• Leading design, development and delivery of scalable, secure data solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across data engineering aligned with enterprise data strategy and governance.
• Drive implementation and optimisation of batch and real-time data pipelines on the enterprise data platform (including Cloudera).
• Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose data solutions and support end-to-end delivery of data products.
• Contribute to DevSecOps, automation, and observability to ensure production-ready, compliant platforms.
