Job summary

Mater Health Services seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Queensland. You will design, build and scale data pipelines and data products to support clinical services, reporting, analytics and research using modern cloud platforms.

You will work with Databricks, Py Spark and other cloud technologies, contributing to enterprise data platforms while engaging stakeholders and delivering high-quality data solutions for healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

Proven experience designing, building and supporting complex enterprise-scale data pipelines.
Significant experience in Cloud ETL development using Databricks, Py Spark, Spark SQL, and Notebooks.
Significant experience in Data Modelling in a Data Warehouse / Lakehouse environment.
Experience in Agile development practices using GitHub and Dev-Ops.
A passion for delivering reliable, high-quality data solutions.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working with clinical or healthcare data is highly regarded.
Exposure to Informatica Mass Ingestion is desirable.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve our cloud data platform with scalable data pipelines.
Develop data products that support clinical services, operational reporting, analytics and research.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts on major initiatives using Databricks and cloud platforms.
