About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations and platforms that support Hewitt’s analytics, reporting and automation goals. Working closely with the Data Architect, you will help optimise Lakehouse environments, improve data quality and enable secure, reliable data delivery across the business. This is a hands‑on role in a collaborative technology team focused on practical outcomes and continuous improvement working on a maximum 18-month contract.
Build and maintain scalable batch and real‑time data ingestion pipelines supporting analytics, AI, BI, and automation workloads. (Python, PySpark, SQL
Develop structured and semi‑structured datasets within Lakehouse environments (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric).
Optimise data pipelines for cost, performance, reliability, and maintainability (Databricks, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions).
Implement robust data quality, validation, and observability frameworks.
