Job summary

Showtime Consulting in Sydney seeks a senior data architect & reporting lead to guide the design and delivery of a modern data and reporting ecosystem.

You will define the target-state architecture, governance model, and an implementation roadmap aligned to AWS, translating strategic objectives into a scalable data platform through close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise data transformation programs from assessment to target-state design.
• Hands-on experience designing AWS-based data and analytics platforms.
• Strong communication and leadership to engage senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage, and reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data and reporting architecture across a large-scale transformation program.
• Define a target-state data and reporting ecosystem aligned to AWS cloud principles.
• Design lakehouse and analytics architectures using AWS-native services.
• Create architecture models across ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, reporting, and consumption layers.
• Develop reporting frameworks including KPI definitions, semantic layers, dashboard standards, and report certification processes.
• Define governance models covering ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, privacy, and retention.
• Assess current-state platforms and data flows to identify rationalisation opportunities.
• Drive reporting consolidation, dashboard standardisation, and self-service analytics capability.
• Support implementation planning, roadmap creation, and sequencing.
