Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) is seeking an EL1 Data Analyst to lead analysis of regional jobs and skills issues, supervise staff, and engage with stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, you will develop regional data tools and provide evidence to strengthen inclusion in the labour market.

The role sits within the Workforce Futures branch and supports policy objectives through data, analysis and advisory services across regional Australia.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in an analytical discipline such as economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field - Essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and quality assurance of qualitative and quantitative data analysis, ensuring methods are robust and insights are reportable.
• Oversee the preparation of analytical outputs, data tables and supporting material to create compelling narratives that are accurate and publication-ready.
• Provide technical advice and direction to support reporting, dissemination and policy use, collaborating with stakeholders and technical specialists to resolve complex analytical issues.
• Effectively communicate analytical outputs and findings through presentations and forums, liaising with stakeholders as product users and data custodians.
• Provide leadership in a collaborative team environment, including coaching and supervising staff.
