Job summary

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a data analytics professional to support the AFBI team with activity, funding and clinical costing analytics. You will prepare data outputs, produce reports, and provide evidence-based advice to inform decision‑makers across the health service.

You will build and maintain professional networks within the health service to ensure effective integration, coordination and liaison on projects and improvements.

Our staff are a part of the community we serve, and we strongly believe that health outcomes are enhanced by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of local health services.The Activity, Funding and Business Intelligence (AFBI) team provide analytics, business intelligence, funding and clinical costing advice for Cairns and Hinterland Hospital Health Services across acute care, ambulatory services and sub and non-acute patient episodes of care..About you:In your new role you will......Undertake all work deliverables to the highest standard and ensure all work outputs adhere to internal quality assurance models, frameworks and requirements.Using an evidence-based approach, undertake analysis, prepare data outputs and provide data reports related to activity, funding and clinical costings.Provide high quality advice on activity, funding and cost variance to inform decision-making by HHS executive members and other key stakeholders for concept briefs, business cases, improvement projects and project plans.Develop and maintain strong professional networks with other areas of the health service to ensure effective integration, coordination and liaison occur.For more information about this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Using AI for your application?
