Job summary

Accenture Australia is seeking an experienced Data Analyst/BI professional to analyse complex datasets, build and maintain dashboards, and translate business requirements into analytical solutions. You will work with stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver data-driven insights and ensure data quality across reporting platforms.

The role emphasizes governance, security, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to contribute to operational and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in Data Analysis, BI, Reporting, or data-focused roles.
  • Strong experience in SQL and querying large datasets across multiple data sources.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, data validation, data quality, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and information management principles.
  • Experience working with relational databases, data warehouses, and enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Due to the nature of the role we can only consider AUS Citizens with NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse, interpret, and validate complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Gather, document, and translate business and reporting requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, data engineers, and technical teams to deliver data-driven outcomes.
  • Develop reporting specifications, data dictionaries, and supporting analytical documentation.
  • Support operational reporting, regulatory reporting, and ad-hoc analytical requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with data governance, security, and information management requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, analytics, and data management practices.
