Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Adelaide, SA. You will own critical platforms, drive security improvements, and defend against advanced threats across diverse tools and environments.

Key duties include incident response leadership, threat monitoring, and implementing standard security controls while aligning with policies. Candidates should have 3–5 years in cyber roles and be eligible for security clearances.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a technical cybersecurity role; Cyber Operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of networks, firewalls, proxies and OS CLI.
• Familiarity withMITRE ATT&CK and STIX/TAXII standards.
• Experience with SIEM, XDR, and enterprise security platforms.
• Ability to obtain government security clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Configure and update hardware/software to maintain secure environments.
• Establish and manage user accounts and access controls.
• Oversee backup and recovery tasks.
• Implement security controls in line with policies.
• Monitor threat intel feeds to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Research threat actors, TTPs, and motives.
• Lead incident response efforts with cross-functional teams.
