Jobtailor in Sydney, Australia is seeking a cybersecurity professional to join our defense-focused team. You will configure and maintain secure environments, manage access controls, and drive incident response to containment and remediation across client systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in cyber operations, strong knowledge of networks and security tools, and familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK. You will work with SIEM, XDR, and endpoint protection in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of cybersecurity-focused experience required.

  • Advanced understanding of tools, techniques, and procedures used by modern attackers.
  • Customer-centric approach ensuring consistency in service delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of networks, firewalls, proxies, and OS command-line tools.
  • Knowledge of system/server diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering theories, concepts, and methods.
  • Understanding of IT user security policies including account creation, password rules, and access control.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and standards like STIX/TAXII.
  • Experience with leading security technologies and platforms (SIEM, XDR, endpoint protection, identity security, secure access).
  • Exposure to Intelligence platforms is highly regarded.
  • Australian Citizen with ability to obtain additional government security clearances.

Job description

Requirements
