Job summary

Decipher Bureau in Australia is seeking a cyber security advisory professional to deliver strategy, governance, risk and compliance engagements.

You’ll work with engineering teams and executives to shape enterprise risk programs and translate technical findings into practical guidance.

Location: Sydney-based preferred, with remote options across Australia; salary 130k–150k AUD plus Super.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cyber security consulting or GRC.
• Technical foundation in software engineering, solution or architecture.
• Experience with ISO 27001 or NIST CSF is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with board-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver enterprise cyber strategies and risk programs.
• Lead governance, risk and compliance engagements from scoping to recommendations.
• Run tabletop exercises and workshops with technical teams and executives.
• Review security architecture and translate findings into prioritized guidance.
• Write policies and control frameworks adopted by engineering teams.
• Apply ISO 27001, NIST CSF and Essential Eight to client environments.
