Job summary

Transport for NSW is actively seeking an experienced cyber security professional to safeguard critical infrastructure and protect sensitive data across the Transport cluster. You will provide strategic and technical cyber security expertise to support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of cyber defence, risk and resilience services.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience across cyber defence, security, risk and resilience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows and AWS environments, cloud security and IAM.
• Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, ITIL and Agile are highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical cyber security expertise to support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of cyber defence, risk and resilience services across the Transport cluster.
• Assess cyber security requirements, develop risk mitigation strategies and lead initiatives aligned with organisational priorities, the evolving threat landscape and industry best practice.
• Act as a trusted advisor on complex cyber security matters, working closely with stakeholders to strengthen security practices and reduce cyber and technology risk.
• Evaluate and improve tools, processes and services across areas including security operations, cyber risk and assurance, cloud security, identity and privileged access management, operational technology and security architecture.
