Job summary

Macquarie University invites applications for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security. The role is based in the School of Computing within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, with responsibilities in developing, teaching and convening units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while supervising HDR students and leading research projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a PhD in cyber security or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated publications in top-tier journals and/or conferences in security, privacy, data mining, AI, ML, or networks.
• Strong track record of teaching cyber security at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and attracting research funding.
• Experience supervising Higher Degree Research students and leading research projects.
• Proven teamwork and engagement with external stakeholders in cyber security.

Responsibilities

• Develop, teach and convene units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Supervise HDR students and lead/collaborate on research projects.
• Strengthen the School of Computing and Cyber Security Hub through teaching and research leadership.
• Engage with industry and government partners to secure research funding.
