Job summary

WIMR is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen and maintain cybersecurity resilience across on-premise and cloud platforms. You will lead Microsoft security deployments, monitor threats, and drive practical security improvements in collaboration with the CIO and ICT teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and XDR, threat hunting, vulnerability management and security automation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft Sentinel – essential.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft XDR – essential.
• Strong threat hunting and remediation capabilities.
• Experience with security automation and SOAR tools.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, Zero Trust and ACSC Essential Eight.
• SC-200 and/or SC-100 certifications – preferred.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration and ongoing management of Microsoft security technologies.
• Identify gaps in Microsoft XDR and security products; strengthen security posture.
• Lead greenfield deployment of Microsoft Sentinel—data connectors, analytics, UEBA, workbooks.
• Develop Sentinel ingestion strategies with cost efficiency.
• Monitor, detect, investigate and respond to threats across on-premises and cloud.
• Conduct threat hunting using KQL and align detections with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Perform endpoint vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Develop SOAR playbooks using Logic Apps and Power Automate.
• Implement solutions to improve security controls and reduce risk.
• Lead the Internal Cyber Governance Committee and report to executives.
• Collaborate with ICT teams and external partners to maintain secure ICT.
