Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to analyse, implement, and refine robust cyber security requirements across IT infrastructure and information systems. You will mentor teams, shape secure architectures, and drive initiatives across cloud and data environments with DoD/Federal compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design, implement, and document secure information system architectures.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex security projects.
• Strong project management skills at enterprise level.
• Deep understanding of TTPs to prevent compromises.
• Ability to implement intrusion detection and threat hunting tools.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTPS).
• Proficiency in threat intelligence integration (MISP, STIX/TAXII).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architect, and develop secure information systems or upgrade legacy systems.
• Conduct AoA research to identify optimal security solutions.
• Translate requirements into secure system designs and documentation.
• Lead Architecture roadmaps and security investment planning.
• Mentor Senior/Mid/Junior Cyber Security Engineers.
• Design secure cloud solutions including hybrid/multi-cloud with DoD compliance.
• Develop security solutions for Big Data environments.
• Utilize automation and AI in cybersecurity solutions.
• Ensure compliance with DoD 8570, NIST 800-53, RMF, FedRAMP.
• Align designs with MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and Zero Trust architectures.
