Job summary

Linde Material Handling seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer in NSW to lead CSIRT and vulnerability analysis in a global setting. You will deploy SIEM solutions, manage incidents, and develop automation using SOAR across our KION Group footprint.

The role requires advanced Python/Java programming, cloud security expertise, and willingness to travel. Hybrid work with office days in NSW and remote days elsewhere is arranged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related IT field, preferably cyber security
• Advanced programming knowledge in Python and Java
• Experience with SOAR is preferred
• Experience with SIEM is essential
• Strong IT security knowledge (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning)
• Willingness to participate in on-call and after-hours meetings
• Comfort with modern IT infrastructure and security frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response analysis (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis in a global environment
• Deploy, configure, and leverage SIEM for security use cases
• Manage cyber security incidents and perform client triage/forensic analyses
• Participate in on‑call schedule to ensure global security
• Write code and scripts using Java, Python, etc.
• Use SOAR for automation and develop playbooks for SOC operations
• Apply Big Data analysis and ML to generate group-specific security use cases
• Develop and integrate security detection for Azure, AWS, GCP
• Evaluate log correlations and log analysis results
• Apply information security, risk management, and privacy practices
• Liaise with internal departments on projects and tasks

This unique role will join our global Cyber Defense Centre team contributing to the continuous improvement and ensuring long term security for Kion Group globally. We are looking for a Technical Security Expert with an interest in making a global impact in a growing organising with experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office and the remainder of the week working from home.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the incident response analysis (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis in a global environment.
• Ability to deploy, configure, and leverage SIEM for security use cases
• Managing cyber security incidents and conducting client triage/forensic analyses of cyber-attacks.
• Participating in the Cyber Security on-call schedule to ensure security worldwide for the KION Group.
• Programming / script writing using Java, Python, etc.
• Using SOAR products for the automation of security incidents, while using case/playbook development for an automated SOC operation.
• Using Big Data Analysis & Machine Learning in order to develop group-specific use cases at the current security level.
• Development and integration of security detection methods for cloud environments like Azure, AWS, GCP to mitigate risks.
• Evaluating the results of log correlations/aggregations and log analysis.
• Analyzing and applying information security, risk management, and privacy practices.
• Liaising with internal departments on projects and tasks.

Requirements for success:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related IT field, preferably with a focus on cyber security
• Demonstrated advanced programming knowledge in Python and Java
• Experience with SOAR products is preferred
• Experience with SIEM skills is essential
• Solid knowledge in the field of IT security (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, forensic and Threat Hunting)
• Flexibility to participate to on-call and after-hour meeting calls on a regular basis
• Good understanding in all areas of modern IT infrastructure
• Knowledge in security classification frameworks like MITRE or the cyber-attack kill chain
• Demonstrated ability in decision making and management of workload
• Enjoys working with a dynamic and international team with short decision paths
• Ability to travel when required (including international)
