Job summary

QIC, based in Brisbane, is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join the Liquid Markets Group, delivering high-quality credit research and identifying opportunities to support portfolio performance. You will work with portfolio managers and investment strategists, presenting insights and contributing to disciplined investment processes while integrating ESG considerations.

Experience in corporate credit analysis and strong modelling skills are essential, with CFA progress highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate credit analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and financial modelling.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial judgement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate research into actionable investment recommendations.
• Strong understanding of Australian financial markets.
• CFA qualification or progress towards will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality credit research across investment grade corporate, financial and securitised issuers.
• Participate in debt investor presentations and engage with issuer management teams.
• Conduct relative value analysis and provide independent credit investment recommendations.
• Contribute to macro credit views with insights from bottom-up research and market analysis.
• Build relationships with issuers, brokers and other market participants.
• Contribute to investment process improvements and analytical tool development.
• Present research, insights and trade recommendations to portfolio managers and key stakeholders.
• Integrate ESG considerations into investment research and decision-making.
