Enerven delivers essential electrical infrastructure and solutions across Australia, seeking a seasoned Project Controls Cost professional to drive cost discipline on our most complex projects, including BESS and renewables. The role reports to the Head of Project Controls and is full-time, flexible to be based in Adelaide or Sydney.

In this position, you will establish budgets, forecasts and cost controls, perform variance analysis, manage change controls, monitor trends, and provide cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project cost control across engineering and construction projects.
• Sound understanding of project cost control, forecasting, reporting and performance management.
• Proficiency in Excel and cost-control software.
• Strong analytical and data analysis capabilities.
• Effective communication across all levels.
• Proactive, solution-focused with stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle
• Enable and drive project cost forecasting processes
• Deliver Cost Variance Analysis with root causes for movements in forecasts and cost positions
• Oversee rigorous change and contingency controls
• Monitor trends and variances to support informed project decisions
• Provide reporting and cost insights for visibility and corrective actions
• Feed project cost insights back into estimating and project close-out
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and processes
