Job summary

KBR is seeking a Cost Controller or Senior Cost Controller to support the financial and commercial performance of major infrastructure and defence programs in Australia. You’ll develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports to enable informed decision-making and drive strong project outcomes.

The role requires degree-level qualifications, 3–5+ years for Cost Controller or 8+ years for Senior Cost Controller, with strong Excel expertise and experience using Primavera P6.

You’ll provide cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting that enables informed decision‑making and drives strong project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Analyse cost performance, variances, and trends
• Support EAC processes and monthly reporting
• Apply contingency and risk management practices
• Ensure compliance with governance and controls frameworks
• Provide commercial insight to support delivery decisions

What You’ll Bring

• Degree‑qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Commerce, or similar
• Cost Controller: 3–5+ years’ experience
• Senior Cost Controller: 8+ years’ experience
• Strong cost forecasting and financial analysis capability
• Advanced Excel skills (essential)
• Primavera P6 experience highly regarded
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills
• Security Clearance: Holding or being eligible for Baseline/NV1 security clearance is advantageous for defence projects but not required for non‑defence work.
