Job summary

EY in Australia is seeking a corporate tax professional to lead and deliver a broad range of tax services for a diverse client base from a hybrid Boorloo (Perth) base. You will collaborate with senior leaders to manage tax compliance, advisory work, and complex engagements across international and domestic matters.

The role emphasizes mentorship, development of junior staff, and continuous process improvement within a dynamic, technology-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Australian taxation system gained in professional services or a comparable industry role.
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading client engagements on substantive tax matters.
• Transformation mindset with a drive to improve processes and client experiences.
• CA qualification or equivalent, or Tax Masters; IFRS knowledge advantageous.
• Experience in real estate, infrastructure or trusts is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage provision of taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance, and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations.
• Deliver a full spectrum of corporate taxation advisory services, supporting senior team members in complex engagements including ATO risk reviews, audits and ruling processes.
• Act as a key client contact, collaborating with specialist teams in international tax, transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions.
• Supervise and mentor the team as a counsellor, fostering career development and a positive high-performance culture.
