Job summary

Hall & Wilcox in Sydney is seeking an experienced corporate and investment funds lawyer to join our growing Corporate team.

You'll work with partners and senior lawyers on transactions, regulatory and advisory matters spanning M&A, ECM, governance and funds management, with opportunities to mentor juniors and contribute to practice growth.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years post-admission experience.
• Experience in corporate law including M&A and funds management.
• ECM experience is highly regarded.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Senior candidates: mentoring, supervising and delegating to junior lawyers.
• Strong desire to contribute to the growth of the corporate and commercial practice.

Responsibilities

• Acting for fund managers in structuring and establishing wholesale and retail investment funds.
• Acting for fund managers and investors on co-investments and joint venture arrangements.
• Involvement in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Participation in equity capital markets (ECM) transactions.
• Transactional and governance work for AFS licensees.
• Drafting shareholders' and unitholders' agreements; and
• Providing regulatory, compliance and corporate governance advice.
