Job summary

Coronado Global Resources Inc. operates Curragh in Queensland and seeks a Major Contracts Superintendent - Maintenance South to lead post-award management of major maintenance contracts, ensuring safety and performance across HME and facilities maintenance.

The role requires 10–15 years in mining, strong procurement and contract-management experience, and a focus on asset reliability and operational excellence. This is a permanent, site-based position at Curragh.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years' experience in mining with maintenance operations and HME maintenance.
• At least 10 years' experience in procurement or contract management.
• Engineering degree and/or mechanical/electrical trade qualification.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder and commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead the management and performance of major HME maintenance contracts.
• Oversee facilities maintenance and support services across site infrastructure and assets.
• Manage ancillary equipment maintenance contractors and service providers.
• Drive contractor compliance, safety performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, accruals, expenditure, and commercial outcomes.
• Support contract mobilisation, governance, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with operational, maintenance, procurement, finance, and contractor stakeholders.
