Job summary

DC House Design & Construction – Burleigh Heads QLD is seeking a technical, backend estimator who will own pricing from confirmed selections to drafting and issuing fixed-price contracts. You will oversee Building Approval through to award, while the Junior Contracts Administrator handles BA paperwork.

Three priorities drive success: compiling scope, inclusions, exclusions, and provisional sums with precision, interpreting reports into pricing and scope, and applying practical constructability

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in estimating, contracts administration, or quantity surveying.
• Excellent building contract drafting skills to minimise ambiguity.
• Ability to read and translate engineers' and planners' reports into pricing and scope.
• Practical knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing.
• Strong understanding of Queensland Building Approval processes and certifiers.
• Experience issuing contracts through the Master Builders Queensland platform.

Responsibilities

• Pricing base build and additional works, including fencing, garages and decking.
• Drafting and releasing fixed-price contracts through the Master Builders platform.
• Interpreting engineering, geotechnical, and planning reports for pricing and scope.
• Overseeing Building Approval documentation and related council/certifier liaison.
• Refer complex pricing decisions to the Head of Commercial.
• Manage multiple estimating, contract, and BA jobs concurrently without supervision.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing for base and extras.
• Maintain accurate estimating, contract and BA records; identify process improvements.
