Rio Tinto Exploration seeks a Senior Adviser for Contracts to lead end-to-end contract management across drilling, earthworks and logistics. You will partner with exploration managers and technical specialists to translate requirements into clear scopes and executable packages, with focus on risk, governance and supplier engagement.

The role is based in Australia with hybrid working and a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration and delivering value to operations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contracts across the full lifecycle, including planning, tendering, negotiation and close-out.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into clear scopes and executable contract packages.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior leaders, Legal, Procurement and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple contracts from planning through close-out.
• Translate drilling, earthworks, logistics and other requirements into scopes of work and contract packages.
• Coordinate RFIs/RFPs, tender docs, evaluations, approvals and service agreements.
• Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to control risk and delivery.
• Track demand, milestones, renewals and expiry to enable proactive contracting.
• Administer variations, extensions and disputes while maintaining governance and records.
