Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Queensland's Richmond office is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to support the delivery of multiple projects. You’ll manage end-to-end subcontract administration, assess tenders with engineers, and provide practical commercial guidance to project teams.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Law, Engineering, QS, Construction Management or related field, plus at least 4 years’ experience at a senior level.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level or higher qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience managing subcontracts and variations in construction projects.
  • Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and stakeholders.

What’s on offer?

Based in our Richmond office, the Senior Contracts Administrator partners closely with the Regional Commercial Manager and Project Delivery teams to support the successful delivery of multiple projects. Acting as the key point of contact for contractual matters, you'll manage procurement, subcontract administration, support head contract administration, strategise commercial risk mitigations and provide practical advice to project teams in delivery on commercial issues. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to make a real impact on project outcomes and organisational success.

In this role you'll be responsible for:
  • Manage the end-to-end administration of subcontracts, including working with Engineers to assess tenders, prepare and negotiate a Subcontract and support resolution of variations, EOTs and claims in delivery.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring all projects are delivered in line with contractual and company requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations, claims management, dispute resolution and commercial risk mitigation activities.
  • Provide proactive commercial and contractual advice to project teams, helping to increase commercial awareness and drive successful project delivery and outcomes.
How will you connect to the role?
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, Business or similar.
  • Minimum 4 years prior experience as a Contracts Administrator including at least 2 years working at a Senior level within a construction environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously while administering and managing multiple projects and subcontract packages;
  • Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions, risk management and compliance requirements;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with subcontractors and key stakeholders.
  • Full time or part time (minimum 3 days per week) will be considered.
