Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced contaminated land professional to join our Environment team in Darwin. This senior role leads investigations, assessments and remediation projects, and provides trusted technical advice to clients across Defence, infrastructure and energy.

You will manage projects from scoping through delivery, mentor colleagues, support business development and collaborate with regulators and multidisciplinary teams. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years in contaminated land consulting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of contaminated land investigation, assessment, remediation and risk management.
• Experience planning and delivering field investigations and producing technical reports.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, programs and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver contaminated land investigations, assessments and remediation projects.
• Provide senior technical advice on complex contaminated land and environmental management matters.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, tender submissions and client correspondence.
• Develop investigation strategies, conceptual site models and sampling programs.
• Manage projects from scoping through to delivery, maintaining quality, safety, budget and schedule.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, regulators, contractors and internal teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to support the development of other professionals.
• Contribute to business development and help identify new project opportunities.
