Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in internal audit, risk consulting, governance, or related field.
• Experience delivering client-facing projects and managing multiple engagements.
• Knowledge of risk management and governance frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO).

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit engagements from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, reporting and stakeholder presentations.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, control testing and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop practical, value-adding recommendations to strengthen governance and control environments.
• Assess and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks, governance structures and internal controls.
• Support design and implementation of risk, compliance and assurance frameworks.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on risk and governance matters.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to our collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Assist with business development activities, including proposals and presentations to add value for clients.

You'll partner closely with clients across a variety of industries, providing practical insights and forward-thinking solutions that help organisations navigate challenges, improve performance, and prepare for what's next. You'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of internal audit, risk management and advisory engagements while building trusted relationships and making a genuine impact for clients. As a Senior Consultant, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality client outcomes, including:* Leading internal audit engagements from planning and risk assessment through to fieldwork, reporting and stakeholder presentations.* Conducting process walkthroughs, control testing and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.* Developing practical, value-adding recommendations that help clients strengthen their governance and control environments.* Assessing and enhancing enterprise risk management frameworks, governance structures and internal controls.* Supporting clients with the design and implementation of risk, compliance and assurance frameworks.* Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on risk and governance matters.* Mentoring and supporting junior team members, contributing to our collaborative and high-performing culture.* Assisting with business development activities, including proposals, presentations and identifying opportunities to add value for clients. **About You** You're someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and helping organisations improve the way they manage risk. You'll bring:* At least 2 years' experience in internal audit, risk consulting, governance, controls or a related field, ideally within professional services.* Experience delivering client-facing projects and managing multiple priorities and engagements.* Strong skills in risk assessment, audit planning and control evaluation.* An understanding of internal control frameworks and control effectiveness testing.* The ability to communicate findings and develop practical recommendations that drive meaningful outcomes.* Knowledge of risk management and governance frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO or similar assurance models.* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with clients at all levels.**Why BDO?** Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
