Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a Senior Consultant in Risk Advisory to lead internal audit and risk engagements, mentor junior staff, and drive client insights within a collaborative, high‑performing environment. The role supports permanent, or 3- to 6-month fixed-term arrangements, with Working Holiday Visa holders considered for the short-term assignment.

You will partner with clients on governance, controls, and risk management, delivering value while maintaining methodology and quality standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in internal audit and/or risk advisory (professional services experience preferred).
• Strong communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while confidently leading teams and engagements.
• Solid knowledge of governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management.
• Relevant tertiary qualification; professional certifications (CIA, CA, CPA) highly regarded.

At RSM, our Risk Advisory Services team helps clients navigate complex governance, risk, and compliance challenges—and we're looking for a Senior Consultant to join us either on a permanent, or on a 3 or 6-month fixed-term basis, with applications welcomed from Working Holiday Visa holders.

About the role

As a Senior Consultant, you'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading engagements from planning through to reporting and working closely with senior stakeholders. You'll also support the development of junior team members and contribute to the ongoing growth of our Risk Advisory Services practice.
