Aurecon’s Environment and Planning team have a strong capability from project planning and feasibility to construction on a wide range of projects across both Western Australia and Australia. You will play an integral part in a team that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across the built environment, transport, land and water, energy and government sectors.

Our current committed and projected workload provides a unique and specific opportunity for a Senior Contaminated Land Consultant, Scientist or Engineer to join the team in our Perth office. The role offers diverse, interesting and challenging work with the opportunity to make your mark in a consulting environment.

Here are the key things you’ll do:

  • Plan sampling design and coordinate field programs.
  • Lead field programs implementing soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, including drilling supervision, test pitting and groundwater monitoring well installation.
  • Provide high quality data gap assessments, and contaminated land investigations, in accordance with ASC NEPM requirements.
  • Develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standard and the work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations.
  • Provide proposal and project management support to the contaminated land team.

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant with 5-10 years’ experience in contaminated land to join our team. The role would include a mixture of office and field-based tasks. To be successful in these roles, you will have:

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • A degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations.
  • A strong professional work ethic and commitment to health and safety for yourself, your team, subcontractors and clients.
  • Detailed understanding of the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and National Environment Protection Measures and other current and emerging National and Western Australian legislation, standards and guidelines for contaminated land.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A current driver’s license.
