Working and collaborating across service lines and a multidisciplinary team of investigators, political risk analysts, security experts and crisis management specialists, this role plays a critical part in resolving clients’ complex problems, responding to crisis issues and developing proactive risk management programs.
This role delivers consultancy services to clients by developing innovative solutions to complex risks. Scoping and delivering across a broad range of business risk activities including crisis management planning and trainings, risk workshops, gap analyses, stakeholder communications and more.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead on the scoping and delivery of resilience consulting tasks including crisis management planning and training, risk management, and business continuity.
- Develop crisp, concise and appropriately scoped proposals to win new client projects.
- Conduct and assess training and exercises for executive management teams to test and validate an organisation’s crisis management and business continuity capability.
- Work as part of our crisis response team, assisting clients to resolve crises relating to corruption and/or business ethics issues, disputes, restructuring, product liability and other complex problems.
- Actively contribute and/or lead new initiatives to expand Control Risks’ services in the Australia Pacific region.
- Act as a key team member on major projects, at times with a multijurisdictional focus, across a range of service lines.
- Actively participate in the Asia Pacific development of consulting services in risk and crisis management.
- Ensure that practices, polices, strategy and services represent the clients’ best interest.
- Maintain time and expense records to ensure accurate invoicing within a maximum of seven days following task completion.
Support internal service lines
- Provide support in the development and editing of proposals.
- Assist in the development of capability statements and other collateral requested by clients.
- Provide research support as required for tasks.
Essential
- Experience in a corporate/consulting environment working with multinational companies in Australia Pacific markets.
- Experience in crisis management, enterprise risk management, crisis communications, complex problem solving, business continuity and security management.
- Strong communications and writing skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and other senior consultants globally.
- Demonstrated experience in the application of a recognised risk assessment methodology. Experience in adult education and training.
- Experience in a multi-cultural environment and demonstrated cross cultural awareness.
- Willingness to travel at short notice.
Preferred
- Legal or communications background.
- Knowledge of operational conditions in Western Australia specifically and across the wider Australia Pacific region.
- Project management skills.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary teams resolving complex incidents.
