The opportunity

EY’s Corporate Tax practice is a collaborative team of tax professionals advising the best clients in the Australian market. As a result of continued growth in our business, we are currently looking to add to our team with experienced corporate tax specialists who have experience in tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting and tax advisory.

The team are currently looking to hire Senior Consultants in Sydney to provide a range of compliance and advisory services to our clients. Technically strong, you will have excellent client management experience and be a team player.

This role is based in Warrang - Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

Be part of a team that works on a portfolio of multinational inbound and outbound clients and assist in the preparation and review of income tax provisions and returns and other reporting as required. There is also the opportunity to be involved in tax advisory assignments for these clients.

Ideally have sound technical knowledge of Financial Accounting and IFRS (but not required).

Delegate to a team of junior staff and ensure the quality delivery of compliance services, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and existing clients as well as seeking opportunities to develop relationships with clients.

To be considered for this role you must have

Experience in relation to income tax compliance provision and return preparation, preferably gained in a professional services firm in Australia.

Works well in a team, has a high attention to detail, and is task orientated.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

Excellent people skills.

Completed or in progress CA qualifications or equivalent.
