Job summary

The role requires strong analytical skills, construction knowledge, and proficiency with estimating tools and MS Office, plus excellent communication with suppliers, clients and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within the construction, insurance repairs, or building industry.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current industry standards.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, and a proactive approach to their work.
• Be highly analytical, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Have excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a sound understanding of the construction industry, supported by relevant qualifications in Construction, Estimating, Building, or a related field.
• Be highly proficient in computer systems and technology, with experience using estimating, project management, and Microsoft Office software.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Be able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assess, review and deliver detailed quotations for construction projects.
• Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and procurement schedules for successful tenders.
• Conduct site inspections, take measurements, and identify key project requirements and cost drivers.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Monitor project costs and ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project scope.
