Job summary

Advanced Personnel Management is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to join the growing Compliance team in Canberra. The role focuses on ensuring digital systems, security controls and processes meet regulatory and contractual obligations, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

You will lead assurance reviews, collaborate with IT and business teams, and contribute to certifications and accreditations while providing expert guidance on risk management and compliance across

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT compliance, information security, risk management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and governance principles.
• Experience with ISO 27001, ISM, PSPF, PSPF and other government/regulatory frameworks.
• Experience conducting security assessments, audits, and assurance activities.
• Ability to interpret legal agreements and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance assessments against ISO 27001, ISM, PSPF, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
• Provide expert guidance on compliance, risk management, and controls to stakeholders.
• Maintain a register of applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and policy obligations.
• Monitor changes to security and regulatory frameworks and drive implementation of new requirements.
• Lead assurance reviews, audits, and remediation activities.
• Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and governance updates.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, standards, and governance documentation.
