What's on offer?

Fulton Hogan delivers the TMR North Coast Region Road Asset Maintenance Contract which includes both Programmed and Routine Maintenance works. Central to the success of this contract is proactive, consistent and credible engagement with communities, road users and stakeholders impacted by maintenance and construction activities.

This role offers the opportunity to play a hands-on part in shaping how communities experience our work, ensuring people are informed, concerns are addressed early and impacts are managed effectively through clear, timely communication.

We're seeking a Senior Community & Stakeholder Advisor to support the day-to-day delivery of communication activities to support our Programmed and Routine Maintenance delivery teams across the North Coast Region.

You'll be embedded in the contract delivery environment, working across multiple maintenance and project delivery programs to identify stakeholder, community and reputational risks, develop engagement strategies, support community notification requirements and ensure communication activities are effectively planned and implemented as works progress.

This is a fast paced, operational role that requires agility, sound judgement, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a live construction and maintenance environment.

Your Contribution:

In this role, you'll be responsible for working collaboratively with the project team and our client to plan and implement communication and engagement activities across programmed and routine maintenance works.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and delivering community and stakeholder engagement activities in line with contractual requirements and agreed communication frameworks.
  • Acting as a key member of the Contract Delivery Team, providing specialist stakeholder and community engagement advice to project managers, supervisors and client representatives to support informed decision making and effective risk management.
  • Identifying and managing stakeholder and community risks associated with planned works, and developing practical mitigation measures in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and communication plans for projects, maintenance activities and other works that may impact communities, road users and key stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with client representatives, local authorities, community groups, businesses and other key stakeholders.
  • Supporting compliance with contractual community engagement requirements and preparing reports, records and documentation associated with stakeholder and community management activities.

Let's Connect:

With relevant communications qualifications and practical experience in a similar role, you'll bring demonstrated experience leading community and stakeholder engagement activities within infrastructure, construction, maintenance, government or transport environments. Experience within road, transport or maintenance contracts will be highly regarded.

You'll be a strong communicator with a sound understanding of contract delivery and an ability to recognise how effective communication supports broader contractual and operational outcomes. You'll have a proven ability to build productive internal and external relationships and work collaboratively within a complex, fast-paced environment. With professional judgement, attention to detail and confidence in your written and verbal communication, you'll be comfortable influencing outcomes and managing competing priorities.

Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you're not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that's okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.
