Job summary

Qualifications

• High school or college automotive body repair diploma.
• 3+ years collision repair estimating experience.
• Experience with panel, structural, mechanical, parts and refinishing operations.
• Proficient with iBodyshop/Audanet/Audatex/PartsCheck.
• Ability to translate vehicle damage into a complete repair plan.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness of how estimate quality, approvals, supplements and file completeness affect cycle time and profitability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy collision-repair environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed vehicle inspections and build a repair plan capturing damage, parts, paint/materials and manufacturer information.
• Manage estimating-related communication with customers, assessors and internal teams.
• Prepare supplements/variations when strip-down reveals additional damage, with photos and justification.
• Challenge or clarify assessment outcomes when scope or value does not reflect work required for a safe repair.
• Collaborate with production and parts to confirm methodologies, labour, parts, sequence and issues.
• Keep estimates and files current as approvals change and capture documentation.
• Review completed jobs for profitability and identify discrepancies before invoicing.
• Support handover between estimating, parts, production and administration to avoid delays.
