Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia in Perth CBD is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a Green Systems Development Team delivering cloud-based applications for energy operations, forecasting, data analysis and decarbonisation initiatives.

You will work across the full software lifecycle, from design through testing, deployment and documentation, using AWS, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Angular, PostgreSQL and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with React or Angular and AWS services (Lambda/RDS/ECS).
• Proficient with PostgreSQL, Docker and Git/GitHub.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and Terraform; Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack cloud-based applications.
• Design scalable software solutions using modern practices.
• Translate requirements with stakeholders into technical solutions.
• Develop front-end applications using React or Angular.
• Build back-end solutions with Python, SQL and modern APIs.
• Develop and integrate AWS cloud services; work with PostgreSQL.
• Follow Agile/Scrum; contribute to sprint delivery.
• Implement CI/CD, DevOps and IaC; maintain documentation.
