Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior AI Application Engineer to build secure cloud-hosted applications, APIs, and agentic AI runtimes. You will design services using Python/FastAPI and TypeScript/Node, integrate LLM APIs, and ensure reliability, observability, and enterprise alignment across sprints in a fully agile model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software/cloud/backend engineering with increasing responsibility.
• Hands-on AWS cloud-native development experience and backend service design.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and TypeScript/Node for API-first architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, and enterprise security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs powering AI products.
• Develop MCP/FastMCP read-write-search APIs and secure authn/authz patterns.
• Lead six 2-week sprint cycles to deliver MVPs and validate deployments.
• Integrate with AWS-native storage, vector stores, and knowledge graphs.
• Coach teams, review architecture, and drive reliability and observability.
