Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect for Australia or New Zealand to define and maintain cloud architecture standards and translate business requirements into secure, scalable Azure-based solutions. You will guide deployments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive automation and efficiency across complex multi-vendor environments.

Applicants should have 5–7+ years in cloud architecture, strong Azure skills, IaC/automation experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of hands-on cloud architecture and design in large, distributed enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain cloud architecture standards and design strategies.
• Capture business requirements from stakeholders and translate into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Assess current cloud technologies and ensure alignment with business goals and efficiency targets.
• Lead deployment of complex cloud solutions with hands-on ownership as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and managed partners to deliver standardized cloud services.
• Produce architecture documents, standards, policies, and handover materials.
• Identify opportunities for automation and cost-efficiency improvements.
